Alternatives to the OPPO F27 Pro+

When the OPPO 27 Pro+ goes on sale, it will compete with the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, iQOO Neo 9 Pro, and Realme GT 6T, which are priced in the same range.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro has a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP main, 10MP telephoto, and 13MP ultrawide lens. It also has a faster 144Hz display. The 50MP selfie camera is much better.

However, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro also has a 16MP selfie camera, a faster 144Hz refresh rate display, and a better SoC (Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2).

A better 32MP front camera and a larger 5,500mAh battery supporting 120W rapid charging are two of the highlights of the Realme GT 6T.

Pros

  • Excellent durability: The OPPO F27 Pro+ is the first phone in India to get an IP69 dust and water resistance rating. This means it stays protected even when sprayed by a high-pressure, high-temperature water jet, making it suitable for people who lead an active lifestyle or are prone to accidents. It also features MIL-STD-810H shock resistance certification, as well as Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 scratch protection.
  • Fast performance: The phone features the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC, which is a robust mid-range CPU that can handle most everyday tasks without any issues. Cons

  • The F27 Pro+ has a lower quality camera system than its predecessor. It has a dual-camera arrangement at the back, with a 64MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. This is significantly less than the triple-camera setup of the F25 Pro, which had an ultrawide sensor. The front-facing camera has also been reduced from 32MP to 8 MP.
  • No stereo speakers: The Oppo F27 Pro+ has just one downward-firing speaker. This means you won’t get the immersive stereo sound experience that some other phones offer.
  • Lack of some high-end features: Some high-end phone features, such as wireless charging or a zoom lens, are missing from this device.

Overall, the Oppo F27 Pro+ is a good mid-range phone with a lot to offer, especially if you want something sturdy and long-lasting. However, the poor camera system and lack of some high-end functions could be a dealbreaker for some consumers.
